Accessibility

We are building BookMyCare for seniors, their families, and caregivers, so accessibility is part of the design, not an afterthought. This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, in line with Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What we have done

• Body text is at least 18 pixels with strong colour contrast in both light and dark mode.
• Every button and link is at least 44 pixels tall and shows a clear focus outline.
• The whole site works with a keyboard alone, including the videos and the sign-up form.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, animations are turned off and videos only play when you tap them.
• Videos carry their message as real text, not text baked into the picture.
• Form errors are announced to screen readers and explained in plain language.
